Biography

Prior to becoming an Associate Lecturer at St Andrews, Caitlin Flynn was an Alexander von Humboldt Postdoctoral Fellow at Freie Universität Berlin (2017-19).

Dr Flynn's primary research interests include: gender and sexuality, narratology and storytelling, humanism, and humour in Older Scots and Middle English poetry. 

Her first book, The narrative grotesque in medieval Scottish poetry, was released by Manchester University Press in 2022.
