Dr Yasemin Acar
Lecturer in Social Psychology
Biography
Yasemin Gülsüm Acar received her PhD from Claremont Graduate University in 2015; her dissertation focused on social identity and identity politicization through collective action. Her research interests include outcomes of collective action, social (ethnic, religious, political) identity, and intergroup conflict and reconciliation. Yasemin has published in English, Turkish, and Kurdish on consequences of collective action as well as various perceptions of the Turkish-Kurdish conflict in Turkey.
